ACRF Steering Group membership and function

The ACRF Steering Group provides oversight of the ACRF Programme and is chaired by Professor Freya Johnston, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education). Its membership includes divisional representation (both academic and administrative leadership roles) and college representation. The group reports to University committees (People, Education, Research, Planning and Resource Allocation) and Council and interacts with the Conference of Colleges.

Members of the Steering Group are responsible for providing input to the ACRF‘s development, acting as a sounding board for the ACRF programme team, and championing the programme in their own parts of the collegiate University in order to engage colleagues.

ACRF Programme team

The ACRF Programme team staff are part of the Pay & Conditions team which was formed in response to the Pay & Conditions Review commissioned by the Vice-Chancellor in 2023.

Rachael Theophile

Rachael leads on delivery, conducting an extensive programme of stakeholder engagement across the collegiate University and working closely with the ACRF sponsor and Programme Lead.

Annalisa Miller

Providing high quality communications support, Annalisa authors the communications strategy, and comms plans for each phase of the programme, including creating and managing the ACRF website.

Lorjah Rajah

Lorjah supports the team with tasks including report writing, monitoring the ACRF inbox, minute taking and meeting recording, managing room bookings and agenda and minute distribution.

Sara Willis

Sara leads on the implementation of actions and initiatives flowing from the Pay & Conditions Review. She supports the ACRF Programme team, including guiding the framework through the University’s governance structure.

Subject matter experts

The ACRF subject matter experts (SMEs) were previously the workstream leads; working extensively on framework development and engagement across the collegiate university. With the ACRF in its pre-consultation phase, the SMEs continue to be involved: championing the framework, attending ACRF Programme Working Group meetings and providing ACRF Programme team staff with invaluable support in response to queries related to workforce planning, teaching and learning, policy and research.

Sarah's career at the University spans more than 20 years across a variety of roles and she is a member of the University's People Department/HR senior management team.

Kathryn Fairhurst-Jones

HR policy team leader

The People Department's policy team provides central oversight on academic employment issues, including terms and conditions, statutes, regulations and contracts.

Jane Pritchard

Head of Educational Development, Centre for Teaching and Learning

Jane's focus is the scholarship of teaching and learning: advancing the practice of teaching in higher education through evidence-based, reflective practice.

Tanita Casci

Interim Director of Research Services

Tanita leads on the implementation of institutional research strategy, and drives initiatives aiming to create a positive, inclusive and fair environment for researchers.
