Contacts

The University does not have a centralised HR function: each department has an HR contact or HR team and most questions about employment matters need to be addressed to them in the first instance.  You can find departmental websites via the 'Departments and Divisions' link on the University's Home Page
 
If you know the name of the person you need to contact you can find their contact details via the Contact Search on the Staff Gateway.  Otherwise the following may be helpful:

I am an employee with a question about my employment / payslip / contract

  • Academic staff - contact the divisional office
  • Support and academic-related staff - speak to your line manager, or get in touch with the HR contact/team in your department
  • UAS staff -  speak to your line manager or, for general enquiries, contact uashr@admin.ox.ac.uk 
  • You may find the answer in HR Self-Service

I am a job applicant with a question about my application

Check the job advert or job description for the post and you will find contact details for someone who can help you. Our Jobs page has information about making an application.  

I am an HR colleague with a question for one of the central HR teams

Members of the University can find the contact details for the central HR teams (SSO needed).

I need to contact someone about a reference for a University employee

The University does not have a centralised HR function and the records needed for referencing are only held within individual departments.  If you need a reference for a University employee (current or past) please ask the individual to give you contact details for the HR team in the department where they were employed.
